Art galleries in Coimbra

Coimbra, a city of knowledge and culture, has also established itself as an important artistic hub.

Its art galleries, spread throughout the historic center and surrounding areas, offer a glimpse into contemporary artistic production while preserving a dialogue with the past. The city is home to several galleries that showcase both local and international artists, promoting exhibitions of painting, sculpture, photography and digital art.

The renovation of historic buildings in the Baixa district has also brought new galleries and art spaces to the city. These spaces not only provide a platform for emerging artists, but also contribute to the cultural revitalization of Coimbra, making the city an unmissable destination for art lovers.
