Born out of Coimbra's long university tradition, the Repúblicas are a reflection of the city's irreverent, supportive and creative spirit.

Many notable figures from the history and culture of Portugal have passed through these houses, enriching them with stories and experiences that continue to this day. The Republics promote values ​​of autonomy and democracy, and are administered by the students themselves in a horizontal and participatory model.
